Abstract: A first version of a hierarchical degradation modelling framework was formulated and implemented as software code. The code was documented and is made publicly available in an open access modelling platform. With this implementation, the conceptual workflow of the modelling work is set up and demonstrated. In the next steps, the model can be refined, extended, and parameterized. Furthermore, modelbased diagnostic tools and test protocols can be built.
PDF »Public Abstract: For the previously developed basic degradation model (Deliverable 2.2), the minimum set of parameterisation experiments was determined through sensitivity analyses of the model. Through discussions with experienced experimental partners, valuable additional parameterisation experiments and alternative routes to access parameters were identified. For the current, advanced model iteration, the additional parameters and possibilities for their extraction are discussed. Furthermore, for the anticipated full model at the end of HIGHLANDER, all anticipated parameters and preliminary ideas for their extraction were discussed.

Through discussions with experienced experimental partners in the project, useful additional parameterisation experiments and alternative routes to access parameters were identified. An advanced test protocol for the HIGHLANDER project was developed and will be passed on to Task 6.3 for use in the remainder of the project.
